Take it from me, you're better off
Giving up your struggle
You cannot change your sinful self
So into Christ you snuggle
You bang your head against the wall
Trying to contain
The cesspit that you really are
For which there is no drain.

When you finally give up hope
Accepting what you are
You can cry out for His help
He's never very far
Open up your heart to Him
You're really in a jam
And as you let The Spirit in
He'll burst that putrid dam.
