The Good Dad

This is a question often asked
Then did I do it God's way
For it is an awesome task
If you're asking that question
You have surely passed the test
Giving everything to your son
Believe it you're the best
Things may not always seem so
But I see gentleness in your eyes
These words come to you from Him
Don't believe the devil's lies
There is no doubt that's for sure
The good Dad you have been
I know what you're all about
You are a giant among men
Don't ever ask yourself again
An amazing and loving Dad like you
Doing exactly what He wants
Just like God would do
For we are like our children
Sometimes wisdom waits for years
You wonder am I the good Dad
But your heavenly Father He hears
God is smiling on this day
And to you He says well done
For doing what the good Dad does
You are forever faithful to your son
