The Rainbow

As a rainbow met the ground
My eyes were mesmerized by it
And I stared without a sound
Never thought I would see this
Surrounded by a golden glow
Then I walked right up to it
Stood in that beautiful rainbow
No pot of gold to be found
But I know why it was said
The light was bright and intense
Felt its warmth upon my head
Reaching out to feel the colors
An emotional yet spiritual high
I am standing in God's Promise
His bonnet spans the bluest sky
At that moment in my life
I did not know His Word
Just this amazing experience
Not understanding what occurred
Now I know He touched me
For that picture I still see
The peace was all encompassing
And God stood there with me
The rainbow, it was glorious
Looking back as I walked away
The Creator of the rainbow waits
When we meet in the sky someday
