Lose your life to gain it
Stop looking at yourself
Try to be as Jesus was
Climb down off your shelf
You reside in stagnant wells
Devoid of love and grace
Selfishness of me and mine
Disfiguring your face.

You may want to stay like that
After all, your'e saved
But you'll miss the treasured path
That God, for you, has paved
Drink the living water
Rise up from your grave
You were meant for better things
To live the life He gave.
