How I Pray

A revelation fills my mind
These words have come today
Poetry flows onto the paper
Because this is how I pray

Each morning I awake to You
Searching for a thought
Hopefull for an answer
It's You that I have sought

Often feeling so unsure
My heart is not at peace
Then Your Words come to me
A perfect and complete release

Reading every written word
Like I never saw them before
Only God could do this
As He opens another door

Thank you for this precious gift
For this is how I pray
My God writes everything
Comes to me day after day

In my limited knowledge
He gives me more and more
Words, words, all His Words
I trust Him that's for sure
