Real

by mike bullock
https://ploosh61.wordpress.com

There wouldn't be a problem
If only we were real
And tell ourselves in truthfulness
Exactly how we feel
The crutches we hold on to
The chains that bind us tight
Will always be our preference
While God is out of sight.

Now He wants allegiance
The promises we made
Were all a pack of lies when
We asked Jesus to invade
Repentance is our freedom
To halt the sad decay
Turn around and greet The Lord
So He can have His way.
