Still

Let us be humble, receptive and still
The Spirit is with us, succumb to His will
He ministers gently and offers to fill
Our lives with the power of God.

Were often too keen to get on with our life
Wading and struggling through all kinds of strife
Bleeding from cutting ourselves with the knife
Christians, but only in name.

Perhaps if we listen, let Him take the strain
Allow Him to enter our precious domain
Be Mary not Martha, just let Jesus reign
Then we'd be able to serve.
