He Didn't Say.

by mike bullock

He didn't say the rich would get
The first place in the queue
He didn't say your entry fee
Was based on what you do
It's better to be who you are
And come just as yourself
So cease from piling all your works
Upon your sagging shelf.

The poor, bereaved and meek of heart
Will be His chosen ones
For they have loved Him for Himself
He's proud to call them sons
Remember, it's not what you do
But what The Lord has done
That is the key to everything
Your freedom has been won.
