Today

Today I wandered in a dream
To where my treasure finally lay
A promise I had made, I kept
Enjoyed the journey, come what may
Once I took a trembling step
I carried on towards the place
Things got easier as I went
I was glad I'd run the race.

For it's important to avail
Yourself to those with whom you live
Be a servant, not a lord
Stop your taking, learn to give
When our focus is transferred
Upon the ones who have a need
Then Christ is upper in your mind
Superior thinking, yes indeed.
