This Book

Of all the books I've read before
I love my Bible most.
It never fails to bring me peace,
or to stir the Holy Ghost.

Within it's ancient verses
is the truth that I hold dear,
of how the Father sent his Son
to cleanse my need for fear.

He took upon his shoulders
the sins of all the lost,
and gave us all a second chance
by dying on the cross.

Such an awesome sacrifice
we never can repay,
and so I choose to live for Him
until my dying day.

By telling others of this book
and all that it contains,
in the hope that when he comes again
not one lost soul remains.
