Promises

The promises of the Lord are sure,

According to His plan,

Just let Him carry out His work,

with His kind and loving hand.

Sometimes it seems, "it just won't work",

because of what you see,

the evidence seems against you,

you say, "How can it be?"

"But dear child", He ever pleads,

"I know just how you feel,

because it seems so hopeless,

it doesn't seem so real.

But your Heavenly Father has promised,

His words are always true,

Just look to Me, I've been there!

And I did it all for you".

So dear friend, keep looking up,

though life seems such a storm,

For that which He has promised,

He is able to perform.
