As If There Are Three

by Kathleen Higham

Let us pray with abandonment
As if there are three
Hearts joined forever with Him
My husband, myself, and Thee.

Let us pray with abandonment
With our God in-between
Holding hands in faithfulness
Feeling Him though not seen.

Let us pray with abandonment
As if there are three
Our God praying beside us
As His peace sets us free.

Let us pray with abandonment
Placing all at His feet
On our knees humbly
When with the Lord we meet.

Let us pray with abandonment
To Him we must concede
Trusting God in everything
He joyfully meets each need.

Let us pray with abandonment
As if there are three
A circle of love completes us
My Lord, my husband, and me.
