Listening intently to the Word
I hear a clamoring behind
I am somewhat distracted
This clamoring disturbs my mind.
I have seen this woman before
And I am glad she is here
Reminding me of my friend
A friend that I hold dear.
She too has a clamoring
A heart that cannot refrain
Yet, a sweetness claims her
As the clamoring mirrors pain.
God understands her clamoring
And in her He shall fill
The silence that grieves her
Makes it impossible to be still.
I ask God to help me
Give me words to inspire
The one who is not content
Overwhelmed with her desire.
I hear a clamoring behind me
Churning, burning, seething
She can't stop the clamoring
As I can't stop the breathing.
But, there is a wisdom in her
I sometimes hear her sighs
When the clamoring begins again
It is imperative to realize.
That God understands her clamoring
There is nothing we should do
He holds on to her clamoring heart
And I pray that we would too.
