Sand Castles Don't Last

by George Coulier © 2007

Sand castles don't last,
But still we grasp and build,
Searching for security
Yet, we're empty still.

Reaching for the tangible,
To fill the hollow knoll,
Striving for even more and more,
A deep longing of the soul.

But still, the tide, it's ebb and flow
Our sand castles crumble fast
Seek the Lord, the Prince of Peace
Our sand castles never last…
