Upon These Hills

by Sparepoet

Upon these hills My life was spent
Lacking a resting place.
For I came not to blame
But to aright the life that's gone insane
By shedding here my endless grace
Within the divine event

Upon these hills I grew up young
Not so different then you
Temptations came to me the same
When one was gone another came
Similar the tests that we went through
Situations cast from the Devil's tongue

Upon these hills my last three years
I knocked upon your door
Healing the sick and strengthening the lame
Placing joy where once lived shame
The sins Man no longer had to answer for
Giving you peace for the hidden fears

Upon these hills I hung to die
Final payment for your debt
Choose this day to forever remain
With me in a world that's lacking pain
Without all the other things we regret
Upon different hills eye to eye
