I lay here and I lift my head
From upon the sandy ground
Stuck here in its shifty grasp
It holds me tightly down.
I set my eyes upon a Rock
God's will empowering me
Struggling against the sandy grasp
I fight until I'm free
I keep my gaze upon the Rock
As I climb out of the sand
I reach up from the silty ground
The Savior grasps my hand
He pulls me carefully to Him
Upon the massive stone
He said this is where you should
Now strive to build your home.
