So Much More

by Kathleen Higham

Anxiety sometimes lingers
For a husband feeling ill
But gracefully she comes to us
Then, a troubled heart is still.

There is no one quite like her
As a smile dances from her eyes
Already a peace has settled in
With a hug and tender sighs.

Her Godliness embraces me
When she walks through the door
I glance over to my husband
I have seen that look before.

The look of a father's love
That settles on her face
She touches with gentleness
A comfort dwells in this place.

She gives the glory to her God
In humility, when we meet
I'm so thankful for this woman
I could fall at her feet.

There is no one quite like her
A doctor, but so much more
A precious kiss he gives to her
I have seen that look before.

She treats him like a father
And a father's love I see
A doctor, but so much more
What a gift you have come to be.
