I prayed about a poem for you
My heart swelled with a sigh
You are my absolute hero
There are a million reasons why.
There is a certain elegance in you
Few women can ever acquire
A gentle touch and humility
With a soul for God on fire.
Laughter comes through sorrow
Even when your heart is broken
Never, ever, not even once
From your lips mean words spoken.
In everything a tender kindness
A woman so noble and pure
Quietly suffers, yet constantly gives
No wallowing, you simply endure.
Oh, we could all take a lesson
Observe, then walk the walk
For you are one who walks it
And I cherish the times we talk.
I prayed about a poem for you
Have studied you in such strife
You surpass them all my friend
In your Godly, noble life.
