Depression

Deep into an underworld, a lonely dreary place.
Hopes and dreams weakened, upon a teary face.

A cloud hanging over, heavy as an iron chain
Only few can understand or can sympathize the pain.

What restores my joy is my mustard seed of faith.
For God show his light and once again guides my way.

I detest that I find this place so deep and very low;
I praise in this- that my father will never leave me here below.

He lifts me up and carries me, just one step at a time.
Light in the midst of darkness, guiding a heart like mine.

No matter how distressed and low, my weary soul has gone,
Christ's love always reaches in and keeps me hanging on.
