God's Purpose For You

You will meet many good Christians as through life you trod
But that doesn't mean they're living for the purpose of God
God certainly wants us to do good works
But His plan for us, we must not shirk

We must learn from Jonah, that from God we can't run
He will have His way when all is said and done
We must learn to obey God's purposeful will
That His plans for us; we will fulfill

We must stop making excuses for the things we do not want to do
Stop being apathetic and losing sight of what's true
Jonah whined about the loss of his gourd
While other's problems, he ignored

God wants us to look in the mirror and see a reflection of His Son
Not the image of someone, who from God is on the run
He wants your faith and unending dedication
In helping the lost to receive their salvation
