Masquerade

When walls are closing in
Troubles smothering again
This is the Lord leading you
Back so He can see you through

Living life as a charade
Sleeping in the bed you made
Living in self-righteousness
Pretending your life's not a mess

Just because you know the words to say
Doesn't mean they come in Jesus' name

Thinking every one has to see
A life as perfect as can be.

Humbleness is what we need
On our knees is where we should be
Because we are only fragile man
We should seek Gods perfect plan
We don't need to have the words
We just need prayers to be heard.

We were created to look to God
To lead us on this path we trod
To get us through life with out pride
Keeping our Savior at our side.
Without a mask of Christianity
We need truth to set us free.

We aren't to always hide the pain
Truth is a hard thing to contain
We all fall down and get back up
We need each other to fill our cup
We will all get wet out in the rain
Why do we fake smiles to hide our pain?
Let our real lives be portrayed
Help us stop this masquerade
