I see her there lonely and alone
I am the one to cast the first stone
As I clang
I see him; his eyes say he's hurting
On a path to nowhere; searching
Yet I clang
I am quick to judge and quick blame
Playing religions foolish game
And I clang
I ask for faith; mountains to move
I look to fellow man to approve
Yet I clang
I ask for direction with lofty prayer
It is nothing more that steamy air
Still I clang
I ask for Your help and provision
With no real sense of Godly vision
Still clanging
You remind I am nothing more
Than an irritating, uplifted roar
I am clanging!!
Laying my life at my Savior's feet
I smile at the next person I meet
I then take the next step and touch
Someone who needed love so much
My irritating clang finally ceases
When presenting Christ's love increases!
1 Corinthians 13
New International Version (NIV)
1 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
