Good People

I once heard her say
I looked at this lovely woman
Thinking, you too are that way.
So completely down to earth
A deep sincerity in her smile
Intelligent eyes, yet personal
As she speaks with me awhile.
She is good people
Her thoughts about her friend
I wondered if she knew it
As she strives to help me mend.
Though not a serious situation
But a matter of my feet
Yet an all encompassing kindness
A warm heart and just plain sweet.
She is good people
I see a faithfulness there
And those who work beside her
Will profess that she is fair.
Having spent my lifetime
With doctor's of every kind
Adding one more to my list
Oh what a marvelous find.
She is good people
I love her easy going way
She is good people
I thanked God for her today.
