The Suddenlies

by Kathleen Higham

Each morning I begin to pray
My mind questions, what is next?
I wonder about the suddenlies
Sometimes I become perplexed.

For God has certainly loved me
More than I could ever know
But I look forward to the suddenlies
My thoughts just seem to go.

His peace is all around me
A prayer releases a quiet sigh
And the suddenlies touch me
In that moment, I could cry.

There can be no warmer thought
When God comes, fills my mind
A desire for the suddenlies
Floods through me as I find.

That always He is waiting
To capture every falling tear
And suddenly, so suddenly
A vision becomes quite clear.

Grace and mercy tends to me
No more burden shall I bear
When suddenly I can feel Him
He answers each and every prayer.

Only God can take me there
Fulfilled at last, complete
Oh, I look forward to the suddenlies
When my soul rests at His feet.
