I Came

I came and then I heard,
As I received God's word.
Nearer to him as I depart,
The One Who's in my heart.
An awakening light was shed,
On some scripture I had read.
Removing blinders from my eyes,
That'd have me believe Satan's lies.

Again I came and I heard,
Receiving clarity in the word.
Focusing on the decisions I'll make,
With a clearer view of what's at stake.
Finding the encouragement that's needed,
To continue on til my work is completed.
This is when God's ready and in His time,
Til then Ill do more witnessing in rhyme.
