Mended Wings

by Breeze

Within the looking glass of time passed on,
she watches memories of days by gone.

Painful truths become so clear,
showing boldly in the mirror.

Through mist uprising she can see,
silent glimmers of dancing dreams.

Dreams that once shown bright;
Now fading fast from her sight.

Her heart feels anchored with heavy weight,
mingled with the enemies...time and fate.

Be the truths what they may be,
broken wings is what she sees.

She realized her curse is not of that to die, but rather...
Because of sin she cannot fly.

Her head hung low she shed a tear;
then through her shame and pain and fear, she upwardly sent a solemn prayer.

Oh God, please forgive me of my sins;
in the name of Jesus I ask this thing.

I pray that you lift my wings
so that I may fly,

So that I may catch those dreams that passed me by...

Or at least the strength that I might try.

In that very moment her wings were restored! On one was written GRACE,
on the other, written LOVE.

Her heart filled with gladness,
as she sang unto the Lord!

Her sins had been forgiven.
Her words had reached to heaven,
way past the clear blue sky.

With a single ounce of faith,
In His glory, free from weight...

She is forever flying high!
Thank You Jesus, for Your grace.
