A Precious Boy

by Kathleen Higham

He truly was a precious boy
A boy who learned to love
When to his Mother, a kiss
A kiss sent from God above.

It seems it was his first kiss
A Mother prayed for years
A glimpse into his Godly heart
This gift bore many tears.

The first kiss, but not the last
God took him by the hand
A tiny soul went to Heaven
So hard to imagine, understand.

He truly was a precious boy
As one by one friends spoke
Of a child who loved Jesus
Hearts cried, then voices broke.

Though his life was very short
His passing brings a tender story
Many hands raised to the Lord
Surrendering their lives to Glory.

The loss was surely devastating
Yet, there is an inexplicable joy
When souls will go to Heaven
Just because of this little boy.

The firsr kiss, a new beginning
Lending time for hearts to mend
While a precious boy in Heaven
Gives his kisses without end.
