"JOY COMETH IN THE MORNING"

by Margaret Cagle

When it seems like nothing at all goes right
And tears may flow all through the night,
Cheer up, O Christian; morning is nigh.
The joy will come, and the tears will dry.

When death takes a loved one, we feel sad.
If he went to Heaven, we can be glad.
We endure sorrow, grief, and pain,
But morning will come, and joy we'll gain.

Billows of sorrow may take their toll
As down our cheeks the tears may roll,
And it seems like night will never be passed.
Then with the morning, joy comes at last.

When nights of sorrow come to our life,
And we suffer grief, heartaches, and strife,
Trust in the Lord to comfort your heart.
Then morning will come with its joy to impart.
