Morning Star

by Catherine M F Camarda © 2006

Good Morning, Morning Star
How was Your travel of a far?
Or do You always stay right there?
Lustrously shining and oh so fair
as if to banish thoughts and cares.
Coaxing onward to my morning prayers,
You stand alone like a diamond solitaire.
Your hang so radiant in the nothingness of air
Such light such hopes for me to bear
and if God wills tomorrow for me
I'll wait for You...in the morning to see.
Brilliantly shining the Star that You are
says I stand at the Door I am not to far.
