God is...

by Kathleen Higham

It came, an explosion of life
Millions of flowers color my eyes
Animals greet me with a kiss
God touches me then sighs.

There is no malevolence
My heart quivers at the sound
His voice melodiously in rhythm
To all that lives in the ground.

Perfectivity surrounds me
Exquisite air flows abound
Bringing an intoxicating aura
When everything I have found.

Smells utterly tantalizing
Before I see I taste
Moving about in total peace
Not one soul makes haste.

Loved ones come embrace me
Laughter waltzes to my ear
Then I am floating, floating
As the Lord my God draws near.

"I am Love," He says
Understanding caresses my mind
"I am Love," He says
The Son simplistically defined.

My eyes see in perfect union
The depth of the universe
Poetry breaths His splendor
In absolute perfect verse.

I hear His thoughts musically
He descends freely from above
Pierced hands capture my last tear
Then He whispers, "I am Love."
