Symphony of Praise

by Kathleen Higham

Riding, riding, riding
My day begins the race
Pushing harder to my goal
Relentless is my pace.

Riding, riding, riding
I stand to take the hill
A gentle breeze, His breath?
My mind is quiet, still.

Riding, riding, riding
A cricket, a bumblebee
Flowers burst forth in bloom
These sounds bombarded me.

Riding, riding, riding
Leaves rustling on the ground
A dog barks in the distance
My thoughts become profound.

Riding, riding, riding
Baby ducklings waddle by
The mother hovers protectively
Little peeps make me sigh.

Riding, riding, riding
My hearing now acute
Having almost missed it, when
I turned my life on mute.

Riding, riding riding
Then the music from above
Down, down, reigning down
God's Symphony of love.

Riding, riding, riding
Oh, what perfect harmony
An eagle flaps her massive wings
When at last, I see.

Riding, riding, riding
Remembering for all of my days
Let everything that has breath
Sing to God a Symphony of Praise.

Psalm 150:6
"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord."
