What Was the Whale's Fate?

While reading the book of Jonah one day
A thought occurred to me.
The domain of a big fish or a whale
Is surely the deep blue sea.

How close can a whale safely swim
To the shore to reach dry land
Without beaching itself, you see
When it reaches the shore of sand?

For a whale to swallow a full grown man,
It must have been very great.
After it deposited Jonah on the shore,
Could beaching have been its fate?

Maybe it maneuvered itself back home
To the depths of the deep blue sea.
After all, it obeyed God's will.
At times, that's better than you and me.
