The Times Time Will Tell

by Robert Hedrick

There's a little phrase putting it well,
Making the statement that time will tell.
For it has many times before in the past,
Things happen because time moves by fast.

Time will tell if a game is won or lost,
Time will tell of the storms final cost.
Time will tell the extent of a drought,
Time will tell, removing all the doubt.

Time will tell if there's a loss or gain,
Time will tell to either brag or complain.
Time will tell of promises that are made,
Time will tell if a price would be paid.

Time will tell of the deeds we have done,
Time will tell in facing The Father's Son.
Time will tell if our path was straight,
If so, time to enter into heaven's gate.
