He Comes Tenderly To Me

by Kathleen Higham

I gaze upon the universe
And the star sprinkled floor
His shadow waltzes to my heart
Draws me to a heavenly door.

Here I stand in wonder
When a fiery trail I see
Burning brightly in the sky
Announcing it is He.

All of nature nods her head
As the sun dips in the sea
My arms reach out and call to Him
He comes tenderly to me.

The moon shines in His glory
It takes my breath away
Knowing that the night will end
My God dances in the day.

His sun will warm the morning
Then reflect the flowers dew
The birds are singing melodies
To a world that God once knew.

All of nature nods her head
As the sun dips in the sea
My arms reach out and call to Him
He comes tenderly to me.

His heart is weeping soulfully
He brings the flooding rain
This world that He created
Was never meant for pain.

I cry to Him of lonliness
When it fills my darkest hour
A starry night greets my eyes
Reigns down a holy shower

All of nature nods her head
As the sun dips in the sea
My arms reach out and call to Him
He comes tenderly to me.

Psalm 27:6
And with my song I will praise Him.
