When God first designed the world,
He sketched in black and white.
Creating water, rocks and air,
Until it looked just right.
A globe in perfect balance,
Turning 'round and 'round.
A celestial timepiece,
That never comes unwound.
When God thought it was ready,
He finally added life.
Some trees and plants and animals,
And last, a man and wife.
To finish off his artwork
Great beauty he unfurled,
By adding all the colors
Of the rainbow to this world.
