Computer Withdrawal

by Margaret Cagle

In her yard I eyed my neighbor friend.
Stretched out on a hammock, she lay.
"Having computer withdrawal," she said.
"My computer is on the blink today."

"I am very sorry," I told her.
"Is there something that I can do?"
"No thank you, I guess I'll survive
Until the technician gets through."

I thought to myself, "This is tragic.
I wonder if it could be a sin.
We spend so much time on computers
In the day and age that we live in."

I surely thank God for the computer.
It helps in such a wonderful way,
But I must know when to leave it,
So I can read my Bible and pray.
