Thankful

I'm thankful for a lot of things, the Lord's been good to me
.He's given health; He's given grace and love abundantly.
Three daughters, sweet and beautiful, sent to us from His heart,
Their mother, strong and kind and true, with love that's off the chart;
Brothers, sisters, sons-in-law, grand kids and great grands, too'
Family blessings, streams of joy, I'm filled with gratitude.
"Forever Friends" who make me laugh and let me cry with them,
Who'll walk with me and stand with me until the last "Amen".
I get to travel 'round the land and see His works displayed;
Majestic peaks and roaring seas, and wonders that He's made.
I'm thankful for the ministers who faithfully proclaim
The truth of Christ's redemptive pow'r, the glory of His name.
I'm thankful for the melodies we sing to give Him praise;
The songs of worship, comfort, peace, the words that teach His ways.
I'm thankful that when life's so dark it leads me to despair
That even in the pit of gloom, I sing, for He is there.
I'm thankful for a God who loves and offers grace to all
And tenderly extends His arms to catch me when I fall.
And though I've failed Him wretchedly, dishonoring His name,
He still forgives, I'm still His child, His mercy stays the same.
