One Mightier

I came upon one that was mightier than me,
Then I needed to find One mightier than he.
That's when Jesus Christ became my King,
Discovering that He could handle anything.

The one came to control my heart and mind,
Having me sampling sin of most every kind.
As time passed, the more control he gained,
Until my life became completely sin stained.

He's prince and power of the air, now I see,
That he had his power hooks, hooked in me.
Then I met One that can defeat this deceiver,
He did it in my life, when I became a believer.

The blood of Jesus washed all my sins away,
Tomorrow's, today's, and those of yesterday.
In heaven, I will meet the rescuer of my soul,
Eternally safe from Satan and his sin control.
