Affectionate Christians

Christians should not only love one another
they should be kindly affectionate too
To tell your sister or brother you love them
will brighten their day tis true

If you have love in you heart for someone
then go ahead and tell them so
Don't be shy about it and hide your love
but let that person know

Our savior Jesus was affectionate
when the disciple he loved leaned upon his bosom
and to show love to others the way he did
is to more like Jesus become

If our loving savior so expressed his love,
then we can also do the same
and give all the glory
to His dear precious name
