He is the one from the beginning
And the beginning was from Him
God almighty ever lofty
And from the dust His image bring

God eternal beyond measure
Who enters into time and space
God immortal living water
Who dies to save a helpless race

Never waning in His power
As if an action could subtract
Never wanting in His beauty
As if a lesser could distract

He doesn't need a gift or off'ring
From nothing everything He made
He doesn't need a church to praise Him
As if His joy could ever fade

He cannot better in His wisdom
As if like us through time His thought
He cannot be higher exalted
As if creation could support
