Offending Others

by Margaret Cagle

When kings went out to conquer a land,
It was very hard for armies to withstand
Cities that were fortified and strong.
The battle was bloody and very long.

When a brother is offended in a big way
Over an offensive deed or come what may,
It is hard to win him back in good graces
When he sees offenders as distrustful faces.

The Bible says that it is harder to win
An offended brother who's hurting within,
Than to win a city that is very strong,
Because someone has done him wrong.

Try not to offend others in the Lord,
And live with Christians in one accord.
Try to help others in a nice Godly way.
It could be you who needs help one day.
