Using Gifts

Salvation opens up our opportunity to begin serving The Lord,
Using God given gifts that within every Christian He's stored.
Perhaps not knowing we have them till our work for Him is begun,
Then whenever He is ready they will each appear, one by one.

God can use all of these gifts, that is, if we'll only allow,
Because if we have chosen to follow Him, He'll show us how.
He can take the weakest vessel, molding it into a mighty force,
Then this renewed life becomes to Him a most reliable source.

Everybody doesn't have the same gifts and this we understand,
For if we all played instruments, it would sure crowd the band.
There are many era's of service where our gifts could be used,
If we'll allow God to lead to prevent us from getting confused.

Not to realize your gift and let it waste would truly be a shame,
Possibly to be reminded, when in heaven, God calls your name.
It was Him giving you these gifts and He'll reveal them to you,
Let them work for Him and be amazed what He has let you do.
