Jumping To Conclusions

by Margaret Cagle

Jumping to conclusions, what an exercise!
In every situation, we should analyze
Every side of an issue before we decide,
Because we may support the wrong side.

Answering a matter before hearing it
Could cause us too hastily to commit
To make a decision that could be wrong,
So think on the matter sufficiently long.

Bad decisions can bring folly and shame.
They could give us a very bad name.
Make sure you hear the matter through
Before you decide just what to do.

Just do not jump to conclusions at all.
Hear all sides before making your call.
Answering wrongly could be a disaster,
Whether we're a layman or a dear pastor.
