Troubled by Troubles

by Robert Hedrick

I am not troubled by the many troubles that surround me,
Because God's loving arms of protection are around me.
If they are mine or the worlds, I will put them in His care,
Then I am not troubled, for indeed, I have left them there.

I'm reminded daily that the world's condition's getting worse,
This would improve, if the hands of time were in reverse.
However, time travels in but one direction, straight ahead,
Then it is likely troubles will follow long after I'm dead.

People are troubled with the world's troubles and it's a shame,
This is so unnecessary, I know, for once, I did the same.
Then I discovered that my worrying would not help at all,
When I found The One Who deals with trouble, large and small.

If you are troubled with troubles, take it to God as you pray,
For He has dealt with these all the way back to Adam's day.
He'll provide peace passing all understanding, when in His care,
Then, whenever trouble might be around, He will be there.
