God, I thank you for the trials you've sent my way
For they have made me the person I am today
My life has not been a cushy ride
And every step of the way, you were by my side
You never gave up on me when I tried things my way
Didn't shut me out when I forgot to pray
Every difficult situation that I've endured
Through them your amazing love for me was assured
Every tear that fell from my eyes
You wiped away until they were dry
Every second that I was feeling despair
My burdens you took and you did share
Every minute I've ever spent angry with you
You turned the other cheek and saw me through
What can I do for you to ever repay
The love for me you so freely display
I have no gifts to match your endless grace
The suffering you have endured for the human race
All I can give is my life and service to you
Please use me in whatever way you need to
