Desire comes to be like God
At some point we decide
"I am nothing," we might say
Knowing sins can never hide.
Offering up our souls to Him
When whispered prayers we send
"I am nothing," we say again
But are we at the end?
It is better not to decide
And quietly yield your heart
Standing at the end of yourself
He was there from the start.
Yielding to God simply is
A place of not being
When nothing becomes everything
Yielding is completely freeing.
Find yourself at your end
Then yielding helps one see
That God will do everything
Because that's where He will be.
Find yourself at your end
Where yielding simply is
Surrender absolutely everything
At last, at last…His.
