Enduring Love

by Donna Hendrix

Enduring love that is so sweet
One day we'll have the chance to meet
Your spirit lives within my heart
Never are we far apart
Unless I wander from your sight
To hide my shame in cover of night
I want to be like you my King
To your Word; I must cling
My life would be lost to sin
Without your blood; death would win
I could not live a worthy life for you
For I was born into sin through and through
You freely died upon that cross
So that I, this sinner would not be lost
Enduring love that is so sweet
One day at heaven's gates we'll meet
