God's Holy Word

We are born with an instruction book
With directions to life if we will just look
It tells about the creation of this earth
Tells us the things in life that are of great worth

We're given a history of God's chosen people
And how difficult it is for humans to overcome evil
It tells the story of God's precious love
And how He sent to us His precious Son from above

We learn about the birth of our King
And how to His Holy Word we should cling
It tells how Jesus suffered and died on the cross
For sinners He paid the ultimate cost

It tells how to accept Jesus into our heart
Ask for forgiveness of our sins so that we're never a part
And it tells that through God's infinite mercy and grace
Salvation is available to the entire human race

It shows us how to live our daily lives
Shows us how through anything we can survive
It gives us examples of how we're to live
Tells us all that we must learn to forgive

It shows the spiritual gifts that are given to man
How to discern them and use them for God's plan
Gives us encouragement for times of strife
Shows us how to praise God for the blessings of life

The Bible is the inspired word of God
Meant to lead you down any path you trod
If you are a Christian it should be a daily read
For without God's word you can't know His lead

The Holy Word is essential to living the life God has planned for you
For in life's every endeavor The Bible will see you through!
