Our Spiritual Posture

"Stand up straight and tall
And bravely lift your head."
Good posture was our training.
It's good for our bodies, it's true.
Our vertebrae and spine cry out
For us to have good posture too.
How about our spiritual posture?
For our Lord, do we stand tall?
Do we stand up straight for Jesus,
Or slouch as our shoulders fall?
Stephen stood tall, preaching Jesus
To enemies of Christ that day.
Stephen was even stoned to death
For preaching Jesus, the only way.
Paul bravely stood tall for Jesus
Running his race 'til his life's end.
These examples of spiritual posture
Inspire us to stand for God, O Friend.
