Lord, I love it when you place your messages in my heart
Just knowing it comes from you, your wisdom to impart
I love the words you give to me to place upon the paper
For inspiration to others from God my Holy Maker

Lord, I love it when you whisper sweet messages in my ear
Words that give me comfort and help me have no fear
I love your warm embrace when I am feeling lonely
And I like knowing that my King is the one and only

Lord, I love that you've become my very best friend
I thank you that for my sins you came to make amends
I love it when you gently lead me in your way
It makes life much easier when I hear what you have to say

Lord, I love that in the early morning you and I just sit and talk
For without you in my life it would be an endless walk
I used to be envious of those who walked so closely with you
